Green Beans Thoran with Coconut – Kerala Style Beans Thoran
1) Green beans (French cut) – 1 cup
2) Green Chilly – 4 small ones chopped
3) Red Pearl Onion – 5 sliced
4) Grated coconut – 1/4 cup
5) Curry leaves – 1 sprig
6) Coconut oil – 2 tbsp
7) Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
8) Mustard seeds – 1/2 tsp.
Heat some oil and splutter mustard seeds.
Add turmeric powder.
Coarsely ground coconut and green chilly.
Once the raw smell of turmeric is gone, add french cut green beans,sliced pearl onion, curry leaves, grated coconut mix and mix well and cook covered. Add water if required. Cook till beans is cooked and all water evaporates.
