Kerala Karimeen Fry (Kerala Pearlspot Fry)

1)  Karimeen ( Pearlspot) – 4 numbers
2)  Fish masala – 2 tsp
3)  Ginger-Garlic paste – 1 tsp
4)  Fresh lime juice – 1 tsp
5)  Salt
6)  Curry leaves – 2 sprigs
7)  Oil

Clean karimeen and make long slits.
Mix ingredients 2 to 6 to make a fine paste.
Apply the spice mix evenly on the fish pieces.Make sure you put spice mix inside the slits as well.
Marinate the pieces over night in fridge.
Next day , heat some oil enough to shallow fry in a pan
Once oil is hot add marinated pearlspots to the oil.
Fry them turning sides and serve hot.
